Schools and colleges can request inspirational talks and careers advice from Build Torbay’s industry partners. A wide range of talks and classroom activities suitable for all ages and ability can be delivered by construction representatives, from leading Tier 1 contractors to self-employed entrepreneurs.

Build Torbay can help schools achieve their Gatsby benchmarks by offering encounters with employers and employees and arranging experiences in the workplace. The current package of offers is available at this link and includes free classroom activities, talks and an open site visit. The package will develop as more construction partners come on board.

Schools can contact the Build Torbay Skills Coordinator: Helena.davison@tda.uk.net to arrange a visit from a construction industry expert or attendance at careers fairs.

Go Construct is funded by the Construction Industry Training Board (CITB) therefore provides impartial and trustworthy resources for people exploring construction careers.
