About Torbay

Sheltered on the UK South Devon coast in a beautiful natural bay. Torbay is just under 20 miles from Plymouth in the south, a similar distance from Exeter to the north, and approximately three hours from London.

The Torbay area consists of three major towns –Torquay, Brixham and Paignton, making Torbay the second largest urban area in Devon,

with a population of over 135,750 people, administered by the unitary authority of Torbay Council.

Paignton is family fun, bucket and spade where all you see are smiles and all you hear is laughter. There’s so much for everyone to do with the Geoplay Park, Zoo and ever popular steam train. This isn’t just a place for visitors it excites entrepreneurs and here there is lots of ‘tech by the sea’ epitomised by EPIC, the Electronics and Photonics Innovation Centre, a purpose built hub with labs, research and product development facilities. The best known of the Torbay towns and a destination at the heart of the English Riviera. From the inviting blue bay to the gardens and galleries, to the harbourside cafes and restaurants or just chilling by the marina this is a premier experience.
