About Torbay
Sheltered on the UK South Devon coast in a beautiful natural bay. Torbay is just under 20 miles from Plymouth in the south, a similar distance from Exeter to the north, and approximately three hours from London.
The Torbay area consists of three major towns –Torquay, Brixham and Paignton, making Torbay the second largest urban area in Devon,
with a population of over 135,750 people, administered by the unitary authority of Torbay Council.

Torbay
A glorious part of Devon, encompassing the towns of Torquay, Brixham and Paignton, located on the majestic Tor Bay and besides the stunning landscape of Dartmoor National Park. A mecca for tourists as the English Riviera but home to globally significant technology businesses operating in photonics, marine industries, nano technology and medi-tech. The mild climate and wonderful natural environment make it a compelling place to invest, work and live.

Brixham
A wonderful and colourful collision of creativity, craft, food and fishing. The town has a special sense of place epitomised by its painted houses, artists studios and the most amazing seafood. Paignton
The classic British seaside town with a beautiful sandy beach, brightly coloured beach huts, a promenade you want to walk along and a pier you just have to get to the end of! Paignton is family fun, bucket and spade where all you see are smiles and all you hear is laughter. There’s so much for everyone to do with the Geoplay Park, Zoo and ever popular steam train. This isn’t just a place for visitors it excites entrepreneurs and here there is lots of ‘tech by the sea’ epitomised by EPIC, the Electronics and Photonics Innovation Centre, a purpose built hub with labs, research and product development facilities. Torquay
The best known of the Torbay towns and a destination at the heart of the English Riviera. From the inviting blue bay to the gardens and galleries, to the harbourside cafes and restaurants or just chilling by the marina this is a premier experience. Many have been captivated by its setting, ambiance and lifestyle including Agatha Christie and the poet Elizabeth Barrett Browning. The marina is the epicentre and a place to promenade, looking at the yachts, enjoying a Michelin star meal or having a glass of wine and watching the world go by.
