The Project
This project will deliver much needed public realm improvements along Torbay Road and better link the town centre and seafront.
The image shows an artist impression of the proposed plans, which could be subject to change, following further consultation and engagement.
Funding
Around £660,000 from the Future High Streets Fund has been allocated to support delivery of this project.
Project benefits
The purpose of these improvements is to:
- Provide more space for pedestrians
- Provide space for cyclists
- Better connect parks and public gardens
- Reduce the dominance of vehicles
Project timeline
We expect to deliver this project and the Paignton Station Square scheme close together. Works will start in financial year 2022/2023.
